We hosted a very successful evening at Adams Park, the home of Wycombe Wanderers, on the evening before Valentines Day. As Charity of the Season for Wycombe Wanderers, we were able to make full use of their excellent catering in the Vere suite. This was the first dinner dance we have organised and the evening proved a great success. Our thanks go to all the staff at WWFC for providing great facilities and service.
Music and song on the night was provided by the Sound Force Big Band who are local to the High Wycombe area and who played some classic swing and filled the dance floor until after midnight. Our thanks go to them for a really lively performance.
Compere and Auctioneer for the evening was Russ Williams who quickly got everyone into a relaxed and happy mood from the start, having everyone in stitches. Thanks to Russ’s humour and his skill as Auctioneer, we exceeded our expectations from the great auction prizes kindly donated to Kids in Sport for the evening. And thanks to everyone who bid in the auction and for the raffle monies donated.
All the money we raised will go directly to help local youngsters, both abled and disabled, to enjoy sport.
Everyone enjoyed a fabulous evening and gave us very positive feedback. We would like to make this an annual event for the future and would welcome any potential sponsors who could provide resources to help us stage a successful repeat event to lighten a dark Winter’s evening and bring happiness to less fortunate young people.
